Hauppauge TV tuner cards can cause Sound Forge to fail on startup. Check with Hauppauge for updated drivers or delete the extmondrv.dll from the \\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Sound Forge 6.0\Video Hardware Drivers\ folder. Please note that this will eliminate the ability to preview video on an external monitor using Sound Forge.
Please uninstall any beta version of Sound Forge 6.0 before installing this version.
Do not install Sound Forge 6.0 to the root of your C:\ drive.
To optimize files, set the Temporary files and record folder on the Perform tab of the Preferences dialog to the same disk where you save your data files.
Sound Forge may report the bit depth of ADPCM files inconsistently with the format in which you saved the file. ADPCM files are decompressed to 16-bit files in Sound Forge, and the bit depth is reported accordingly.
VOX and IVC files do not store sample rate information. You must resample the file to the appropriate rate before saving, and when you open these files, be sure to specify the correct sample rate.
Some Cakewalk plug-ins do not load properly in Sound Forge. Please contact Cakewalk to resolve this issue.
If you installed the first Sound Forge 6.0 beta on a computer that had Sound Forge 5.0 installed, Acoustic Mirror may not work correctly. Uninstall the beta and Sound Forge 5.0 and then reinstall.
In the Audio Plug-In Chainer, the Insert Tail Data and Mix Tail Data commands do not function when you are using third-party reverb plug-ins.
If you are using Digital Audio Labs CardDeluxe sound card, you may experience problems if you repeatedly attempt to create a new recording and then cancel the operation.
If you have a SmartMedia reader device installed on your PC, you may experience problems when you attempt to access your CD drive from Sound Forge for ripping, burning, or selecting your CD Setting preferences.
If you have Sonic Foundry Vegas Video version 3.0a installed and have not yet registered your MPEG plug-in, you may see a dialog asking you to purchase the MPEG plug-in if you attempt to save to the MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 formats in Sound Forge. Please note that saving to the MPEG format requires the MainConcept MPEG plug-in.
